SCHIFFL is my second home. As an IT specialist to the core, I want to develop cool products, contribute fresh ideas and constantly learn new things. I can do all that here.

I’m largely responsible for organizing my day and have a great deal of freedom. When it comes to technical matters, I can exchange ideas with our in-house experts at any time. We cover the entire IT spectrum and use the latest technologies. I’m familiar with other companies, too, so I know working here offers something special. I felt welcome right away and quickly found my feet as an IT systems engineer for Cloud Infrastructure & Solutions.

I’m in contact with customers every day and what I do gives me a real sense of achievement. I’d like to have my own team one day. That’s my big ambition and I feel sure I’ll get there.

I was all set for a career as a PE teacher and only had to complete my supervised teaching practice. But I just couldn’t face the rigid structures, the hierarchies and all that red tape. It just wasn’t me. But what was I going to do instead? How was I going to advance my career? IT offered me the best prospects. It’s a field where my work produces tangible results. That’s why I applied to SCHIFFL.

I was really impressed by the energetic welcome I received, so I joined the company’s IT and systems integration training program. Suddenly, there I was, getting into the nitty-gritty – and they even let me loose on customers! Not only did I receive a lot of mentorship but I was also entrusted with real responsibility. At SCHIFFL, the department head treats trainees as equals and takes the time to explain things. I think that’s fantastic. It’s a great reason to get up at seven in the morning and go to work. Plus, I learn new things every day – from hardware deployment through firewall configurations all the way to troubleshooting.
